Starting Monday, Feb. 1, RTS expects delays and will have detours on weekday routes 9, 35, 36, Later Gator B and weekend route 403 in association with roundabout construction at the intersection of SW 35th Place and SW 23rd Terrace. This includes temporary bus stop closures. These impacts will last until sometime in May.

Rider Alert for Routes 9, 35, 36, 403 and Lator Gator B
A new University of Florida (UF) campus route between the Hub and the Old Archer Road apartment complexes is in service. The new route 38 runs about every 45 minutes Monday through Friday. Buses will start at 10:50 a.m. from the Hub with the last departure from Old Archer Road at 8:05 p.m. and the last departure from the Hub at 8:25 p.m. There will be no weekend service.
Due to construction on Main St and Depot Ave, RTS will be detouring Routes 2, 6, 7, 15, 17, 43 and weekend Routes 401,402, 403, 406, 407 and 409 starting Jan. 4. This may cause 5-10 min delays and the closing of bus stops. We appreciate rider’s patience during this time. The changes will be lifted as soon as possible.
Main St delays and temporary bus stop closures will last several weeks starting Thurs, Sept 10. The bus stop across from the St. Francis House on Routes 6, 401, 402 and 403 will be closed for several months due to Depot Ave work. Bus stops for Routes 2, 7, 406 and 409 between SE 7th and 10th Ave will also be closed for Depot Ave construction beginning Mon, Sept 14.
Whenever the National Weather Service issues a severe weather warning or watch for Alachua County and surrounding areas, RTS will provide regular city fixed route and campus shuttle service until sustained winds reach 39 mph. At that time RTS buses will finish their current run and service will be suspended for the duration of the emergency. RTS will suspend service for complementary Paratransit Service when sustained winds reach 35 mph.
