Beginning Monday September 9th, the County will begin construction on two raised crosswalks along SW 61st Street and SW 8th Avenue in the Linton Oaks community. The project is scheduled to take three weeks to complete, weather permitting.
The work will be done in two phases. The first phase is scheduled to take place from 9/9 – 9/17, and SW 61st Street from SW 10th Place to SW 8th Lane will be closed. The second phase is planned to occur between 9/18 – 9/27, and SW 8th Street from SW 63rd and 64th Terrace will be closed.
Route 75 will be impacted and will detour. The detour calls for the 75 to travel on SW 61st Street, and make a loop turning left on SW 10th Place, left onto SW 62nd Terrace, left onto SW 11th Place, then right onto SW 61st. Stops 1058, 1059, 1061, 1062 and 1608 will be closed during the project. To help passengers needing access to apartments on SW 10th Place and SW 8th Lane, stop #1057 will be relocated to the corner of SW 61st and SW 10th Street.
