Due to the approach of Hurricane Irma and the closings of Santa Fe College and the University of Florida, RTS will be running reduced service today, Friday , September 8 and will cancel Later Gator service through the weekend.
During reduced service, there will be no service on routes 19, 21, 27, 28, 29, 36,37, 38, 39, 40, 46, 62, 76, 77, UF campus and Later Gator routes. Reduced frequency will occur on routes 9, 10, 12, 13, 20, 23, 33, 34, 35 and 43. Routes running during reduced service are marked with an ‘R’ in the printed and online versions of the RTS schedule. All other routes and paratransit service will run as normal.
Saturday bus service will run as normal.
Service on Sunday and Monday will be dictated by wind speeds and weather conditions. Buses and emergency vehicles stop running when winds hit a constant 35 miles per hour. Routes may be detoured due to debris in roadways or closed roadways also.

Patrons on buses are taken to final destination or must shelter on bus in extreme situations
If main facility is damaged, then have buses staged at other locations so that we can assist with evacuations or other needs
We have not had an instance where UF classes were in session and the policy was implemented.

September 4th Labor
We may have some detours on the Route 5 and 15 from 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm
The detours will be as the routes leave the Rosa Parks Transfer Station.
Bus stops on University Ave between SW 6th St and SE 3rd St will be affected.
Bus stops on Main St between University Ave and SE 8th Ave will be affected.
We will have Holiday Service on Monday, September 4, in observance of the Labor Day holiday. Only routes 1, 2, 5, 8, 10, 13, 15, 16, 20, 26, 35, 43, 75 and 711 will be running between about 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. depending on the route. All other routes will be suspended, however ADA service will between the same hours of service.
We are having technically difficulties with our TransLoc service. Routes 7, 9, 16, 20, 21, 25, 28, 33, 36, 37, 62, 117, 121, 125 and 126 are being updated, we are sorry for any inconvenience.
Due to construction at The University of Florida the routes 34, 38, 119, 120, 122, 125, 126 will have detours.
Routes 117 and 126 will be detoured until early May due to construction on Hull Road (west of 34th Street). Routes will be using SW 17th Place and SW 37th Street. A temporary bus stop will be placed on SW 38th Terrace just before SW 17th Place. We apologize for any inconvenience.
